End of the golf season
This Sunday saw the end of the European Tour season with a thrilling finale at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai. Jon Rahm put in a late surge to win the final event of the season, but all eyes were on Tommy Fleetwood and Justin Rose to see who would be crowned European number one for 2017.
Thank you to those who have signed up to my winter packages, it’s great to see a lot of those players winning competitions or finishing high up on leaderboards. For these golfers, this is just the start of their golfing improvement as each of the players have been given a winter coaching programme that is personalised to them. Each player has specific goals that they want to achieve before the summer season starts at the end of April and they realise that now is the time to make the necessary changes.
Too many people come and see me at the start of the April saying that they want to make an improvement so that they can enjoy their summer golf. The problem with this, is that it is too late!
Just to further highlight the need to start any changes you want to make now, the above example is when learning a new skill…what if you are trying to unlearn a skill? All golfers have particular characteristics that create their golf swing, but these characteristics may need altering to improve your game. These characteristics are often called habits and some habits are good and some habits are bad, but what is certain that some of these habits will have to be unlearned to improve your golf.
One way to get in touch with me is through my new online booking system that I have recently introduced. I have now made it easier than ever to book your lessons with me. Simply head over to my website, select which lesson you want, find a time that is convenient for you, fill in your details and hey presto…you are in! I have been using the system already for the Junior sessions I do and it has been very well received. I will be slowly moving my group lessons over to my online system so for Juniors, men’s and ladies group sessions, please make yourself familiar with the process.
