Good evening to you all,
I hope this finds you feeling festive and in good Christmas spirit. Jane and I have had our tree up for a week now and I am ready for it to come down…yes, I am very humbug!!! I struggle to get into Christmas nowadays as I feel as though it is a big build up for one day…then it passes! Anyway, I am going to put a brave face on it and try to smile a bit more!!!
In the golfing world, the big news is that Thomas Bjorn is going to be the nest Ryder Cup Captain for Europe. I felt this sneaked under the radar a little bit, with little publicity about. I guess it is very early doors, but I am sure he will be very keen to avenge the recent defeat suffered at Hazeltine. He has some pretty good Ryder Cup pedigree playing in two Ryder Cups, both of which were won by Europe. During those Ryder Cups his record has been very good, losing only two matches out of six outings. He is a likeable character who came very close to winning the Open in 2003, only to drop four shots in three holes to lose out to Ben Curtis.
If you are like me and have plans this week to go do your last minute Christmas shopping because (like me) you are not organised or not sure what to get people, then make sure you give golf a consideration. Over the winter is the best way to improve your golf and I can provide you with a personalised gift voucher for all your golfing needs. I have put together some packages, these have to be used before the end of March, but my other offers still stand.
