Good evening to you all, I hope that storm Desmond has not stopped you getting out on to the course this week? I must say I feel extremely sorry for all the courses in the west of the country as they have been severely affected by wind and rain. I saw this picture on twitter this week of Carus Green Golf Club in Cumbria and thought how luckly we are over here on the East coast.
This week I have been busy with lessons as my winter offer has been very well received, hopefully by now you have had a look at the offers I have got on. If not, click the picture to the left of this paragraph or click here to go to my online shop. Please get in touch with me if you want any more information.
1. Seve the Movie
A great stocking filler and a must see for all golfers. It charts the life of the great man, from his humble beginnings through his life. I got this for my dad's birthday and he has loved it. This runs alongside the must see golf films such as Tin Cup, Happy Gilmore and Caddyshack.
Price range: £6 - £12
2. Personalised golf balls
Golfers ALWAYS need golf balls and it can be quite nice to get them personalised for your golfer. Srixon and Titleist are doing offers on their golf balls at the moment - click here for an ordering website. Be careful, golfers can be picky about their balls, so sneak into their golf bag find out which ones they use.
Price range: £16 - £40
3. Distance measuring device
When playing at different courses knowing the distances to the green is essential for golfers, what we see with our eyes can often not be trustworthy. Having a distance measuring device will make golf more enjoyable and give you an advantage. When buying a measuring device you have to decide whether a laser or a satellite system is best. I often base this on the standard of the golfer as a low handicapped golfer will probably need to know their exact distances whereas a golfer playing off 20 will be happy to know the distance to the green.
Price range: £80-£400
4. Electric Trolley
When you really want to spoil that special someone and get them something big! Electric trollies are becoming used more and more often thanks to theirease of use. Electric trollies are now lightweight and small so they fit in the boot of your car without causing any problems. Manufactuers have also made it easier to assemble and breakdown so you can be out on the course in no time. Whilst you are out on the course, the fact that you are not having to push, pull or carry your bag means that you are saving energy for the end of your round.
Price range: £300 - £800
